He is inspirational to me because he was a lt. general in the army.

adversity

His parents died when he was young. and he had OCD.he never had a formal education but he made it through all of that and he became a lieutenant general of the confederate army.

background

His name is Thomas Jonathan Jackson. his family: jonathan jackson(father), julia beckwith neale(mother), elizabeth(sister), warren(brother), and laura ann jackson arnold(sister). he was born on january 21,1824 in clarksburg,west virginia. he died in battle on may 10,1863. he part of the US Army 1846-1851, and part of the confederate army 1861-1863.
